Middle School Honor Band & String Orchestra Concert
Nearly 100 student musicians perform in the first-ever Middle School Honor Ensemble. This concert will be held at Rock Canyon High School beginning at 5 pm.
The Wizard of Oz
Presented by the Denver Center, the performance on Feb. 9 is $38 for the middle orchestra section, with $5 going back to Douglas County schools. Use promo code DCSDOZ.

This event recognizes Athletic Training Student Aides. Students will also compete in skill & knowledge based competitions.

Apple Awards
This annual dinner and ceremony celebrates and honors DCSD teachers and administrators. A limited number of tickets have been made available for purchase to the public. Purchase soon if you'd like to attend!

Participants will be equipped with skills to respond to substance abuse related questions, analyze rules and create consequences for breaking them.
Healing Our Youth
Become informed about mental health and wellness to support and heal our youth. This is a free event held at Mountain Vista High School.


Bullying vs Conflict
Conflict is inevitable in life. Bullying is not. This class helps parents teach healthy conflict to their children so that they can assess what is appropriate behavior in conflict. 

Taking A Clear Stand On Drugs 
This class helps parents learn to communicate rules and consequences on substance abuse to their children.  


Effective Communication
Communication is vital to the successful management and function of families.  This class helps families build skills to avoid misunderstandings while expressing feelings effectively. 
Sports Injury Prevention
Sports injuries are common for students and effects can be long lasting. Offered by SkyRidge, this class helps parents and their athletes learn how to prevent potential injuries in sports.
Middle School Girls Overnight Retreat 
Open to 8th and 9th grade girls, this overnight cabin retreat in Larkspur will include games, campfires 
and rich conversation.
 

Social Skills - Life Skills
This class helps adolescents navigate the challenges of the high school years and prepares them for the independence and responsibilities that they will encounter as young adults. 

SSN Support Group for Parents & Caregivers in DCSD
A support group for parents with children with Significant Support Needs in the district. A place to ask questions unique to the SSN experience and feel supported by an empathetic group of parents.
 
The Parent Network
A casual, supportive environment where parents connect with other parents on the special education journey. Come out, meet other parents on the same journey and connect.





Y.E.S.S. Parent Academy
Substance Abuse Education
Douglas County's Youth Education & Safety in Schools Program is a collaborative program managed by the Douglas County Sheriff's Office. This is an interactive and free event designed to educate on teen substance abuse. 


Personalized Learning 
Resource Fair
If you have a child with unique needs, including Gifted and Talented, Special Education, English Language Development, Section 504 or Literacy Interventions, please join us and gain information and support resources. This resource fair will take place at Chaparral High School at 6:30 pm. 
 
Developmental Milestones
Each child develops at their own pace. This Parent University class helps parents to identify signs that a child might have a developmental delay and provides tips on when to contact a professional about concerns.
