While the newly-approved COVID-19 vaccine offers hope of controlling the pandemic, scammers see the vaccine as an opportunity to steal from hopeful consumers.
  • While waiting for a vaccine, don’t get so impatient that you become a victim of a scam.

  • Be skeptical of offers to pay for a vaccine on your behalf.

  •  No, you can’t pay to get your name on a list to get the coronavirus vaccine.

  • No, that’s not a government official calling you about getting vaccinated.

  • Watch out for offers of alternative cures for the coronavirus.

For more information regarding the COVID-19 Vaccine visit:

Please report any scams to your Scam Squad Team at the Green Valley Sheriff Auxiliary Volunteers. They will answer your questions regarding scams or suspected scams. Call 520-351-6715

Name Change
Formerly DCSRA

After a length strategy session, a team of club members is recommending to the DCSRA board the following suggestions for a new name change.

·      Green Valley Democrats - GVD
Serving Southern Arizona for over 50 years

·      Green Valley Democratic Club – GVDC
Serving Sothern Arizona for over 50 years

·      Democratic Club in Green Valley – DCGV
Serving Sothern Arizona for over 50 years

Green Valley Democrats was the original name over 60 years ago and has been changed more than six times since. The reasons for recommending a change from the Democratic Club of the Santa Rita Area are:

·      Difficult to pronounce
·      Hard to explain to new people what area this covers.
·      Not easy to search for on the internet.

We would like your feedback. Please call 520-838-0590 to leave a comment or visit our Facebook page (Santa Rita Democrats). The Board will vote on the change at their meeting on January 13th.
Flu Shot Campaign Goal ~ Love you Love your health!

Have you had your shot this year? If so, call the Headquarters 520-838-0590 and we will see how many of our members replied by February 14.
COVID 19 VACCINE

Tucson Medical Center and Banner-UMC will serve as points of distribution centers for the Pfizer vaccine according to the Pima County Health Dept.

The vaccine will be distributed in phases. Phase 1, which will likely span through March, is divided into three sections —
1A health-care workers and long-term care facilities
1B adults living in assisted facilities, law enforcement, educators, child care
workers, and other essential service workers
1C adults over the age of 65 and those with high-risk medical conditions
The county’s second phase of vaccine distribution is not expected to begin until late spring or early summer Approximately 70% of county residents won’t be able to receive a vaccination until Phase 3, which is not expected to start until summer.
