Summer Mission Trip

Interest Meeting - Sunday, March 8

Are you available and interested in attending our summer Mission Trip at Camp Occohannock on the Bay August 2-7? This opportunity is for youth grades 8-12. Show your interest by completing the survey below. We need to reserve our spots through OOTB. We will work on fundraising March - July.

We will have a meeting to discuss fundraising and how to officially register after church on Sunday, March 8.

Interest Meeting - Sunday, March 15

Any youth grades 6-12 who are interested in joining the church and going through Confirmation, are invited to an informational meeting after worship on Sunday, March 15. Parents/Guardians and youth should attend to learn about the process and discuss meeting options.

Youth Council

Next Date: March 16

Youth Council 6:30pm

Church Council: 7pm

We will meet on the 3rd Monday of the month prior to Church Council. We will discuss and plan our youth calendar and activities and explore leadership topics. If you are unable to make it in person, send an email to youth@deepcreekumc.org and a link will be provided for a virtual option.

Youth are invited to stay for Church Council with Nikki to learn more about the church and to present the monthly youth report.

As we begin to prepare for Easter, I encourage everyone to take something on that draws you closer to God. Each day take time to pray and be in God's Word.

What Happens When We Give Our Lives To Jesus?

Tuesday, March 3: God’s thinking about How much He loves you, right this second, and so many times you can’t even count it. Psalm 139:17-18

Wednesday, March 4: We may not understand everything about God now, but He knows us. There will come a day when we “get it.” 1 Corinthians 13:12

Thursday, March 5: Grace is a free gift, we can’t ever do anything to “earn” it. We are God’s “masterpiece.” What does that mean? Ephesians 2:8-10

Friday, March 6: What style of music do you think it is when God sings over you? Zephaniah 3:17

Saturday, March 7: As we get to know God we can understand Him more. How did God “rescue” us and what does that mean? Colossians 1:10-14

Start working on your scholarship application now!

You only need 100 hours of church activities logged April 1, 2025 through March 31, 2026.

If you attend worship, Sunday School, and youth on Sunday and/or Wednesday on a weekly basis, this is really easy!

Worship=1 hour

Sunday School=1 hour

Sunday Youth Group=2 hours

Wednesday Bible Study=1 hour

In one regular week, you can earn 5 hours. This doesn't count VBS (10-15 hours) and special youth events that earn you multiple hours. This summer we will have lots of opportunities to earn hours. The mission trip is worth 60 hours. Our Senior High Retreat next March is worth 16 hours.

Scholarship applications are due no later than May 31, 2026. Submissions earlier would be greatly appreciated.
