Youth Sunday School

Join us on Sundays @ 9am for Sunday School!

Starting Sunday, September 8, we will split into separate Middle & Senior High Sunday School classes.

This four-week series, "Who We Are", will help you understand what it means to be part of the local church and why being part of a local church is such an important part of your identity as Christ-followers.

Week 2: We are better together.
Week 3: We want to be the same people in here as we are when we’re out there.
Week 4: Not everyone is going to get it… and that’s okay.

Youth Bible Study

We have a new day & time for our Youth Bible Study!

Join us on Tuesdays at 6pm for Youth Bible Study!

Our first Bible Study this fall will be on 1 & 2 Kings.

Sunday Youth Group

Join us after church on Sunday, September 15 to plan our Fall/Winter Youth Calendar (September-February).

Scripture Readers Needed!

We need youth volunteers to read scripture during worship on the 3rd Sunday of each month. Use the Sign Up Genius below to sign up for a Sunday. Our next Sunday is September 22 (new date) and the reading is TBD.

Virginia United Methodist Conference

Fall 2024 Youth Retreat

November 22-24, 2024 at the Virginia Nazarene Retreat Center (1151 High School Road, Buckingham, Virginia)

Cost: $150 per person

(pre-order t-shirt offered for additional $10)

The retreat will include time for worship, recreation, and sessions in a Leadership Track which each participant will choose. These tracks will offer hands-on learning experiences based on participants' interests and gifts; participants will leave with tools they can use as leaders in ministry in their local communities and churches.

Youth attending will discuss & brainstorm fundraising opportunities!

Start working on your scholarship application now!

You only need 100 hours of church activities logged April 1, 2024 through March 31, 2025.

If you attend worship, Sunday School, and youth on Sunday and/or Wednesday on a weekly basis, this is really easy!

Worship=1 hour

Sunday School=1 hour

Sunday Youth Group=2 hours

Wednesday Bible Study=1 hour

In one regular week, you can earn 5 hours. This doesn't count VBS (10-15 hours) and special youth events that earn you multiple hours. This summer we will have lots of opportunities to earn hours. The mission trip is worth 60 hours. Our Senior High Retreat next March is worth 16 hours.

Scholarship applications are due no later than May 31, 2025. Submissions earlier would be greatly appreciated.

All youth must have a permission slip on file to attend youth activities. Please complete the 2024-2025 form and turn it into Nikki. Blank forms are available outside of the youth office.

Parent Consent and Liability Release Form (June 1, 2024-June 1, 2025)

As we prepare for the summer and lots of exciting youth opportunities, I want to share our updated 2024-25 Parent Permission Form with everyone. All youth must have one of file in order to attend youth events/outings. Click on the picture above for the permission slip. This form will cover youth June 1, 2024-June 1, 2025.
