Life Team

Deep Creek United Methodist Church is participating in the 2025 Relay for Life scheduled for Saturday, May 31, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Chesapeake City Park. The American Cancer Society Relay for Life is the only Global walk that stands for every cancer while we walk for every life. Since 1985, communities across the world have come together to honor and remember loved ones and take action for lifesaving change.

Go online and purchase tickets through Cinemark Chesapeake Square for the 1:10pm showtime. You can meet us at the theatre or at church. Please sign up for a van spot if needed, so we can plan for transportation.

Youth Sunday School

Join us on Sundays @ 9am for Sunday School!

This four-week series challenges students to ask themselves how they might apply the last words of Jesus to their lives today.

In this four-week series, students will learn:

• Week 1: Even in tough times, God is always with us.

• Week 2: Through His suffering, Jesus offers forgiveness.

• Week 3: Jesus did what no one else could.

• Week 4: As His disciples, we have a responsibility to share Jesus' message with others.

Youth Council

Monday, April 21

6:15pm

We will meet on the 3rd Monday of the month prior to Church Council. We will discuss and plan our youth calendar and activities and explore leadership topics. If you are unable to make it in person, send an email to youth@deepcreekumc.org and a link will be provided for a virtual option.

Youth are invited to stay for Church Council with Nikki to learn more about the church and to present the monthly youth report.

Looking for Youth and Adults to join us on a Mission Trip this summer. Our goal is to have zero cost to youth/adults attending. Our pancake supper on March 2 will go towards anyone attending. We will plan other fundraisers if needed.

Start working on your scholarship application now!

You only need 100 hours of church activities logged April 1, 2024 through March 31, 2025.

If you attend worship, Sunday School, and youth on Sunday and/or Wednesday on a weekly basis, this is really easy!

Worship=1 hour

Sunday School=1 hour

Sunday Youth Group=2 hours

Wednesday Bible Study=1 hour

In one regular week, you can earn 5 hours. This doesn't count VBS (10-15 hours) and special youth events that earn you multiple hours. This summer we will have lots of opportunities to earn hours. The mission trip is worth 60 hours. Our Senior High Retreat next March is worth 16 hours.

Scholarship applications are due no later than May 31, 2025. Submissions earlier would be greatly appreciated.
