JOIN FAMILIES CONNECTED FOR DD ADVOCACY DAY
The short session of the 2020 Oregon Legislature will convene on Mon., Feb. 3, 2020. Families Connected will be heading to Salem for DD Advocacy Day on Wed., Feb. 12. Remember, it's important to meet with legislators to share how your family uses supports and services to access a full life in community. Contact Nancy if you want to join Families Connected for a fun day at the Oregon State Capitol.
BE COUNTED FOR U.S. CENSUS
Census Day is Wed., April 1. Every 10 years, the U.S. counts everyone living in the States. It is important that people with disabilities and their families be counted as the census data impacts how much money state and local governments receive for things like education, Medicaid and Social Security. Read Why the Census Matters for People with Disabilities to learn more and make sure your family is ready to be counted!
