Are you interested in auditioning for DDC’s professional company? 

Detroit Dance Collective is searching for professional dance artists of all gender identities who thrive in a challenging and collaborative atmosphere. Ideal candidates should be dynamic movers, demonstrating a solid understanding and embodiment of Traditional Modern and Contemporary movement styles, improvisation, and partnering techniques. We are interested in individuals who are committed to evolving alongside the group, possess a deep passion for the arts, and are enthusiastic about cultivating human connections through movement.

DDC has openings for full-time PAID POSITIONS. The company is committed to compensating artists for all rehearsals, performances, teaching and community activities.

Contracts are offered from September-June / 26 to 30 weeks.

Applicants must be available for company classes and rehearsals on Wednesdays and Fridays 10:00 am to 3:00 pm as well as for all scheduled performances and events during the season.

• Intimate performances within the community (ex. senior living centers, youth groups, family day, etc.)

What to Expect

The audition will consist of a guided modern class, followed by structured improvisation led by Artistic Director + Co-Founder Barbara Selinger.
