 DDD Board Appoints New Interim President & CEO
John Pourciau
The Downtown Development District Board of Commissioners has appointed John Pourciau as the Interim President & CEO. 

Prior to becoming Interim President and CEO of the Downtown Development District, John Pourciau served as chief of staff to New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell, overseeing the Mayor’s office, advising on key priorities, including the Fair Share initiative, and affordable housing policy development, and providing high-level local and state legislative oversight.

John has been a key adviser in development projects Downtown, including the Low Barrier Shelter as well as the expansion of South Market District and the Warehouse District.

Before his role with the Cantrell administration, Pourciau worked in the health care sector, including as a consultant for health care finance firm Sellers Dorsey and as a product development analyst for AmeriHealth Caritas, a Medicaid managed care company. Prior to those positions, he served as Director of Voter Outreach for the Louisiana Secretary of State’s Office and as a legislative analyst with the Louisiana State House of Representatives. Pourciau holds degrees from both Amherst College and Temple University’s James E. Beasley School of Law.
