Exciting things are happening in the Episcopal Diocese of the Dominican Republic! On February 15, 2015, the board members of the Dominican Development Group marched alongside the Dominican clergy and laity in this colorful parade that was part of the 57th Annual Convention of the Diocese of the Dominican Republic. March 15 is the deadline to sign up for the DDG-sponsored exploration trip from April 23-29, 2015. As of March 9, one space remains open. This trip will go from west to east in the Dominican Republic to visit potential mission trip work sites. If your church or diocese is considering a mission trip to the DR, first-hand experiences gathered during this trip could be invaluable in locating the best place for you to work alongside members of a Dominican Episcopal congregation. The Search and Nominations Committee of the Diocese of the Dominican Republic announced the names of three Dominican Episcopal priests as finalists for the position of Bishop Coadjutor during the recent convention. To read about these finalists and their profile statements (in Spanish), click here. Nominations by petition will be accepted during March 9-19, 2015, and the election is scheduled for July 25, 2015.
