As President of the Dallas Dental Hygiene Association, I encourage every dental hygienist to recognize the brilliance they bring to our profession. Like a diamond, each of us has unique strengths, talents, and experiences that help our patients and communities shine brighter every day.

Our profession grows stronger when we grow together. I challenge you to not only let your own light shine but also to encourage fellow hygienists to get involved, connect with colleagues, and become active in our professional community. Whether through education, advocacy, mentorship, or service, your voice and participation matter.

Together, we can inspire, empower, and elevate one another—because when one diamond shines, it helps illuminate the entire room.

Texas Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures® Mobile Dental Program

Make a Difference in a Child's Smile!

Hello!

My name is Dr. Denese Shelton, and I am one of the dentists with the Texas Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures® Dental Van Program.

Our program provides FREE dental screenings and oral health education for children 12 years of age and younger throughout Texas.

We're Looking for Volunteers!

Whether you can volunteer for the entire event or just a few hours, we'd love to have your help! We are flexible with volunteer schedules and appreciate any amount of time you can give.

Volunteer options include:

Full event coverage

2-hour shifts

3-hour shifts

4-hour shifts

Or any amount of time you're available

Calling All Texas-Licensed Dentists!

If you're a Texas-licensed dentist, you're welcome to bring your business cards for us to distribute during our events.

Because our program provides screenings and education—not comprehensive dental care—we are always looking to refer families to local dental practices.
