Stock Market Game
The Stock Market Game is the perfect tool to help your students build a fundamental understanding of investing while providing them with real-world skills practice. Hosted by the SIFMA Foundation, the online competition is free for DECA members. In teams of one to three DECA members, participants develop and manage a virtual investment portfolio of stocks, bonds and mutual funds. Register your members to get started today. Competitive Event
The top 25 teams from each region will qualify to present their portfolio during ICDC. This official competitive event consists of a written document describing the investment project and oral presentation. Eligibility to attend the international conference is determined by the chartered associations, based on their policies.
This classroom connection will provide instructional resources to introduce the following National Curriculum Standards:

  • Track business environment changes that impact business financial results
  • Explain causes of stock price fluctuations
  • Manage investment portfolio
  • Discuss the nature of investment risk
  • Explain factors to consider and strategies for selecting investments
