IRS Section 179 Applies to All Our Technology Lines and Categories

Technology purchases can be a big expense for any business. But if you’re a small or mid-sized business, your operation risks being stalled, or even coming to a complete standstill, if you don’t have the right mix of business technologies in place.

If you’re considering a purchase business tech in the fourth quarter – including access control, security surveillance, or telephone and communications equipment or software – you should investigate how accelerated depreciation available through IRS Section 179 can benefit you.

The main benefit of IRS Section 179 is that it lets small and mid-sized businesses deduct the full purchase price of equipment as soon as it is put into service. The benefit is that, at tax time, companies can deduct the equipment as a current expense rather than having to depreciate it little-by-little over the years.

Taking advantage of accelerated depreciation has made a big difference for many companies' bottom line. Businesses have used Section 179 to purchase needed equipment right now, instead of waiting. Purchases and in-service dates must be completed by Dec. 31 to qualify for the appropriate tax year.

Time & Materials Labor Rate Increase

Like many businesses, inflationary pressures have increased operating costs for Clarktel. We have delayed any decision to enact a price increase for several months while carefully monitoring our operations. Now we're announcing the smallest possible increase of Time & Materials labor rates needed to maintain our quality of service. 

On September 1st, 2022, hourly labor charges for Time & Materials services were increased to a rate of $150.00 per hour.
 
For Clients With Existing Support Agreements: Clients with existing support agreements will continue to be billed at their current contracted labor rates until the end of their current term.  

We appreciate your business as we go through this period of change.
