It's time for the MSC/Pittsburgh Chapter NTMA Apprenticeship Competition spotlighting the best of the best in our region! This year's competition will be held at the New Century Careers Anselmo Training Innovation Center on Friday, February 26, 2021.

Participation is open to all apprentices of the Pittsburgh Chapter NTMA Apprenticeship Program and any apprentice employed at an NTMA member company. Year 1 & year 2 apprentices must have earned at least 5 NIMS credentials to qualify. No more than 2 apprentices per company may compete.

The competition tests hands-on performance in setting up and operating machine tools including a manual milled part and a manual turned part produced to specifications. A third component is a written exam to assess content knowledge. A point system based on knowledge, skill and efficiency determines our winner.

First preference for slots will be given to Year 4 students.
