Forum on Positive Parenting


Learn how to use empathy, compassion, and positive discipline while laying the foundation for teaching your toddler inner control, nurturing their strengths, and motivating them to cooperate. Discussion includes common toddler discipline mistakes, discipline without shame, and what your toddler thinks of discipline. Explore how to share power in age-appropriate ways, interpret children’s behaviors, and strengthen the adult-child relationship.

About Elisa Magidoff:

My career in education began in 2000 working with children and families. I have taught in preschools, directed Inclusion Preschools, Private Preschools and State funded programs. I have been the Executive Director of a non-profit for 4 years leading preschools, before and after school programs and summer camps. From 2009 – 2019 I was adjunct faculty in the Child Development Department at San Mateo Community Colleges where I taught over 40 ECE courses. Since 2019 I have been a lecturer in the Child and Adolescent Development Department at San Francisco State University where I continue to teach early childhood courses.

My interests include cooking and hiking.
