In an effort to create a one-firm camaraderie, the DEI committee will begin sending out monthly emails with reminders of upcoming events and educational material that may be of interest to you. We welcome your feedback, especially if there is an event or day you would like us to support or highlight.

Diversity Training

Gentry Locke Richmond (May 7) & Roanoke Offices (May 8)


Training will take place with Jonathan Zur of the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities. This training will be interactive and attendance and participation are strongly encouraged.

Mother's Day


Gentry Locke is proud to celebrate all the mothers in our firm. We recognize the sacrifice that many of you make to juggle your work and families. You may find an interesting book regarding different aspects of motherhood in the below list.

Local Colors Festival

Elmwood Park, Roanoke


Come experience the many different ethnic heritages represented in Southwest Virginia for a day of performances, cuisine, artisan booths, cultural displays, and kids activities. Sign up to participate to show off your culture!

Memorial Day


Gentry Locke is also proud to remember those who have sacrificed their lives for our country and who served honorably but have now passed on. Particular to our firm - John Locke was a WWII Navy veteran. Dick Rakes retired as an Army Reserve Lt. Col. and Bill Tune was an Army Vietnam veteran with final rank of Capt.


The firm is closed for Memorial Day. You may find events in your area to celebrate.
