THE EARLY BIRD GETS THE WORM |

The Biden Administration has been in office for one full week. Cabinet members being confirmed, cogent press briefings, a smiling ear to fact-filled ear, Dr. Fauci, executive orders addressing everything from racial equity to rejoining the Paris climate accord, and more. Even Chuck played chicken with Mitch and the Satan-turtle blinked first.
Did we really just win two, count them two, Senate seats in Georgia? And the White House? We did! We are on a roll! Now is the time to celebrate our hard work as activists and take a well-deserved year off.
I’m kidding, of course. Yes, we really do insist that celebrating our successes is a must. Yes, we really do want to joyfully lift up our volunteers, donors and staff who, working with so many essential partners across the US, made this moment and movement possible (see Celebrating Our Heroes below).
A nap, yes. A year off, not so much.
The Koch brothers make strategic business investments in conservative organizations year in and year out. Republicans are cultishly focused, even locking step behind a twice-impeached wannabe dictator. They are rolling out new forms of voter suppression as you read this sentence.
We have some audacious plans for the next two years, but they don’t start in early 2022. They start now. So Adopt-a-Traitor, join a phone bank, dig into the change jar if you can, to invest strategically in the vision of what we can accomplish together. Again.
The early bird gets the worm. And by bird I mean volunteer, and by worm I mean all of those delicious unregistered progressives in the fertile ground of our battleground states.

We’ve earned our survival, against all odds, by the thinnest of margins. In the Senate, our 50/50 majority is so small, it’s not even a majority! And history tells us the winning party loses seats in the midterms. So there’s only one thing to do.
We need to change history.
In 2022, we must grow our Senate and House majorities, especially in our 8 Triple Word Score states. Our new strategy is to also focus on down ballot races in swing states, harnessing them to register Democrats. We’ll win small races to help us win bigger ones!
LAUNCHED: Join our Adopt-a-Traitor campaign, already in progress! 147 Republicans voted to invalidate the 2020 election. So we’ve done a deep data dive, and targeted the most flippable seats in the most important swing states. With your help, we can register enough Democrats to boot these traitors from the House and Senate!
NEXT: In March, we’ll target Texas, which will hold mayoral elections across the state on May 1, 2021. After that, we’ll roll out voter registration campaigns in each of our 8 target states: AZ, FL, GA, NC, NV, PA, TX, and WI. We’ll also ramp up our nationwide efforts in targeted congressional districts to grow our House majority. Remember, in 2022 every single Democrat we register in Florida will also help us beat Governor Ron DeSantis and Senator Marco Rubio. In North Carolina, they'll help us take the Senate seat Richard Burr is leaving open. In Texas, they'll help get rid of Governor Greg Abbott in 2022, and Ted Cruz in 2024.
