Paul Ogongo and Fatoumatta Darboe are on the planning committee for the UCSF World TB Day Symposium.

There will be a 3 minute abstract competition to help researchers learn how to share their work effectively with the community. The competition will be to decide who can best present their work in layman's terms in 3 minutes. The winner will receive a prize! Please click to apply. The deadline to enter this competition is Friday, February 23.

Awards and Publications

Paul Ogongo was recently awarded the 2024 ARI/CFAR Diversity Scholar Award. He was also awarded the 2024 CFAR Early Career Award for Excellence in Basic/Translational Research. Congratulations, Paul!


Rafael Tiburcio gave a talk at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Collaboration for AIDS Vaccine Discovery (CAVD) meeting. His talk was titled "Utilizing scTCRseq methods to characterize vaccine-induced HIV-specific CD8+ T cells".
