Join DEM AIDS Walk Team

This year, the Division has formed a team for the SF AIDS Walk, thanks to the leadership of Lily Zemelko and the Rutishauser Lab. We invite each of you to join and/or donate to the Division's team for the AIDS Walk on July 17th. This year's theme is "Great Progress is Coming Together."

To join the team, you will need to register individually, then join the team (searchable by "UCSF Division of Experimental Medicine"). We welcome you and your family/friends to join the team too.

If you are joining the team, please also provide us with your t-shirt size so that we can prepare an order for the Division. We will be ordering t-shirts by June 17th, but people can continue to join the team until mid-July.

Thank you in advance for joining and supporting our team!

Security Management Plan and Active Shooter Training

Over the coming weeks ZSFG will be conducting an assessment to determine:

  • The need for increased weapons screenings at buildings entrances

The SF Sheriff's Office is preparing a series of training programs including:

  • Code Silver (Active Shooter) virtual training with how-to-respond videos
  • Department Specific Code Silver Tabletop Drills
  • Department Specific Code Silver Simulations
  • Department Specific Code Silver Assessments to determine appropriate areas in the department for employees to conceal and contain themselves in the event of an active shooter.

Training dates will be announced as soon as they are available.
