UCSF World TB Day Symposium
Curry International Tuberculosis Center (CITC) will co-host the World TB Day Symposium with the UCSF Center for Tuberculosis. This virtual event will feature keynote talks and panel discussions by international leaders in TB research, policy, clinical and programmatic practice, and advocacy. This virtual event will connect with World TB Day events in London.
The responsibility for picking up mail and packages has transitioned from Xavier to Meredith now that the admin office is staffed each day. Meredith will continue to pick-up deliveries after 1pm.
DEM Admin Team Onsite Schedule
Vanessa, Justin, and Susan may be onsite additional days of the week based on committee meetings, space/facilities/equipment needs, and other activities. Meredith will be on-site Fridays when there is an external group to DEM using the conference room.
UCSF DOMINOs Program
DOMINOs (Department of Medicine Informal Networking Opportunities), a new DOM-sponsored program for faculty, staff, and trainees. DOMINOs was created to provide opportunities for in-person community building. DOM employees are welcome to join or host an event – with a goal of having many of them in your neighborhoods or other convenient gathering spots.

Questions you should ask yourself about your role in institutional racism
"Universities, and individuals working for them, often expect BAME faculty to lead efforts to address embedded racism. Institutional level questions were addressed in a previous resource, “Yes, your university perpetuates racism against BAME academics: what can you do?”. Equally important are individuals in academia who must answer their own questions. They should identify how they perpetuate racism in the “ivory tower” and decide how to change."
