The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) announced today that it will delay enforcement of the Advance Clean Truck (ACT) rule for medium- and heavy-duty trucks for model years 2025 and 2026.

OSCC is grateful to Representative Shelly Boshart Davis (R-Albany) who began leading this fight late last year, working to delay implementation before the rule went into effect in January. She thanked supporters in a press release, highlighting the importance of their involvement.
“I want to thank those who jumped into this fight with me and took the time to speak out about the negative impacts of these rules. These stories made a difference. The lack of sufficient charging infrastructure, the limited range and payload of current electric trucks, and the high costs have always made the ACT rules unrealistic.”
Working for this delay has been one of the top priorities for OSCC during this legislative session through our support of HB 3119. Thanks to all our chambers who submitted comment on this bill.
