14 January 2022

Peace and Greetings to you!

Since we’ve gathered in worship last Sunday, the Staff, Board of Directors and I have truly been challenged with the rapid increase in the number of Covid cases being reported in the Greater Milwaukee area.
As we continue to live in a world of disruption, and due to the events, that evolve around the COVID-19 pandemic, we at Milwaukee Metropolitan Community Church, are continuing to do our part in the effort to help stop the spread of this virus.
Yesterday, I sent communication out to you, our church family in regard to the immediate changes that the Board of Directors and I face, as it relates to Sunday Worship. As you will have seen, that beginning THIS SUNDAY, we will return back to an Online Virtual Worship experience.
While this was a painful and difficult decision that we had to make, and as we enter each day, there are more changes that seem to face us, while the policies and recommendations get more stringent with each update we receive. What may be good and satisfactory one day, may be considered unsafe and insufficient the next. Know that as your pastor, along with your board of directors, we continue to monitor this situation very closely and are constantly adjusting our priorities and actions accordingly.
Be reminded that this is not the first health crisis that we, the people of Milwaukee Metropolitan Community Church have faced and survived.  We are a community of fighters and survivors, and we will get through this together.
I invite you again to take a moment a read the letter that was sent out yesterday, which is below. We will continue to keep you updated on what has and will be implemented as we reassess the life of our church, not only in respect to worship, but with our activities and programming in the days and weeks ahead.
In the meantime, join me this Sunday for Virtual Worship at 11:00AMby connecting with us online, through our YouTube or Facebook links. We continue our exciting sermon series titled: “DETOX,” where we will explore how our boundaries hold up while sharing it with the wins and losses in our lives. This Sunday we explore how “Daily Rhythms” in our lives.

As always, I Invite you to take a moment to scroll down to view these announcements and the many other special announcements, connected to the life of our congregation and community, as we continue to be the vibrant, inclusive, and progressive community of faith that we are.
May God’s blessings continue to be with each of you!

In Christ!
Scripture: Philippians 4:4-9

Rejoice in the Savior always! I say it again: Rejoice! Let everyone see your
forbearing spirit. Our Savior is near. Dismiss all anxiety from your minds; instead, present your needs to God through prayer and petition, giving thanks for all circumstances. Then God’s own peace, which is beyond all understanding, will
stand guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, my sisters and
brothers, your thoughts should be wholly directed to all that is true, all that
deserves respect, all that is honest, pure, decent, admirable, virtuous or worthy
of praise. Living according to what you have learned and accepted, what you
have heard me say and seen me do. Then will the God of peace be with you.
We invite you to join us for Sunday Worship, by joining us at our Facebook or YouTube Channels for our
In his letter to the church at Philippi, Paul outlines three daily practices that help re-set, re-orient, and re-calibrate. Rejoice, Pray, and Focus. We can experience joy in the midst of pain through gratitude, we can move from anxiety to anticipation through prayer, and we can change our reality by focusing on the promises of God.

We continue the series this Sunday with exploring our:

Dear Beloved in Christ:
ver the past few days, and as new Covid variants and increasing numbers of cases have hit the Greater Milwaukee area, your Staff and Board of Directors have been in close communication with me, thinking through and implementing a protocol based on our desire to keep everyone safe, as well as reducing any spread of this virus.
