School District's New Speed Zone In Effect for Opening Day
You might want to slow it down if you’re driving past the Dobbs Ferry High School/Middle School complex once school starts! A newly designated
School Speed Zone on Broadway (Route 9) will limit drivers to 20 MPH between the hours of 7:00 am-6:00 pm on school days.
New speed signage will be posted to mark the specified ¼ mile stretch, about 300 feet north and south of the school property lines.
The Dobbs Ferry Police Department will be strictly enforcing the reduced speed limit.
The new speed zone in front of the High School/Middle School should help mitigate traffic accidents and make the area safer for our students and all community members who walk and bike in the area.
Please be cognizant of the new speed restrictions, which go into effect the first day of school on Tuesday, September 4
