September DFC & CARA Office Hours &

Coalition Networking

Office Hours & Coalition Networking will be held today, September 17th, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM ET. Please use this link to join. This session will consist of breakout groups where you can connect with other coalitions and time for discussion with the whole group. During the breakout groups, we will focus our discussion on new data related to e-cigarette and nicotine pouch use among youth and what coalitions are seeing in their communities. You do not need to register in advance and can join office hours at any time, although we encourage you to join from the beginning to hear the introductions. During this session, grant recipients will have the opportunity to speak directly with members of the National Evaluation Team and:

  • Drop-in to introduce yourself and connect with other coalitions about implementation in your community!
  • Ask questions about the National Evaluation, reporting requirements, how to get assistance on developing as a coalition, or anything related to your grant.
  • Ask questions about DFC & CARA Me  We can show you the system if you are new!
  • Let us quickly guide you on next steps if you are having challenges (e.g., related to progress reports, our data entry tool, core measures, local evaluators, and other evaluation-related topics).
  • Determine if it might be helpful to set up a one-on-one session with us.
  • Provide feedback on topics to be covered in future webinars, on conducting office hours, or anything related to evaluation.
  • Hear the most up-to-date information on upcoming events!

We are excited to meet you during this office hour and hope this provides a way to stay connected!

Webinar: Building Momentum to Engage Your Coalition in Health Equity Work

In July 2024, the DFC & CARA National Evaluation Team delivered a presentation in partnership with three DFC coalition leaders on engaging coalitions in health equity work. For those who were unable to attend or would like a refresher on the information shared, the DFC & CARA National Evaluation Team will hold a webinar to present this session on Monday, September 30th from 3:00 to 4:30 PM ET. During this session, the National Evaluation Team, joined by coalition leaders, will provide:

  • An overview of what health equity includes (e.g., geographic, racial/ethnic, gender identity/sexual orientation)
  • Why engaging in health equity work is important
  • Suggestions from the field for bringing health equity work to your coalition, including guidance based on findings from the Drug-Free Communities National Cross-Site Evaluation

If you are unable to attend this webinar, it will be recorded and uploaded to the DFC & CARA Me Learning Center after the session.
