DFC Progress Report Training Webinar

The DFC & CARA National Evaluation team will be hosting a webinar Wednesday, July 30th, from 2-4:00 PM ET on the DFC Progress Report. This webinar will include guidance for successfully submitting your DFC Progress Report and Core Measures, with a live system walkthrough. There will be ample time at the end of the session for Q&A. To register, please use the registration link below. If you would like to access the slides to follow along with us during the webinar, they will be available and featured in the Learning Center at least 1 hour prior to the start of the training. If you are unable to attend the webinar, the recording will be posted in the Learning Center afterwards.

All DFC reporting sections are open for data entry in DFC & CARA Me. The submission window for the August 2025 DFC Progress Report, Member Roster, Coalition Classification Tool, and Data Management Plan is scheduled from August 1 to August 15. For more information on completing each of these grant requirements, please review the e-blast sent earlier this month here. We strongly encourage you to submit your reporting requirements early. As you work on completing these requirements, please ensure that your work has successfully saved each time you click ‘Save.’ You will know your Progress Report has been saved if you see a green box at the top that indicates that your Progress Report has been updated.


As a reminder, DFC coalitions must also submit new core measures data at least every two years to be in compliance. You can submit your core measures data at any time throughout the year in the Core Measures section of DFC & CARA Me. If you have core measures data to be included in the 2025 DFC National Cross-Site Evaluation, please submit your survey for review by August 1. If you already have an approved survey in DFC & CARA Me and your core measures questions have not changed, you do not need to submit a new survey for review.

Teams Reminders


  • Once you register for the Progress Report Training, you will automatically receive a calendar invitation with a link to join. Please be sure to block your calendar for 2:00 PM Eastern Time. Some users have experienced technical issues where the calendar invite displays the wrong time.
  • This webinar may be accessed via your internet browser, desktop app, or mobile app. For optimal performance, we recommend downloading Teams on your computer.
  • Before joining, restart your computer, then close other open apps (e.g., Outlook, Skype, Excel). If possible, ask others in your household to minimize internet usage (e.g., pause streaming videos, online games).
  • To listen to the audio, make sure your device volume is turned up.
  • To turn on Closed Captioning, select "...More," then choose "Settings," "Accessibility," and "Always show captions in my meetings."

Progress Report Resources


To further assist you with progress reporting there are a variety of resources available in the DFC & CARA Me Learning Center that you can access at any time! Some of these resources include:


  • DFC Progress Report template: A Word document that includes all the questions asked in the report. You can find this resource by typing “Template: DFC Progress Report” in the Learning Center search box.


  • Implementation Strategy Tip Sheet: A tip sheet on how to accurately report data in the implementation section of the Progress Report. You can find this resource by typing “Implementation Strategy Tip Sheet” in the search box or by using the "Tip Sheets & Learning Tools" quick filter.


  • Progress Report Training Recordings: Brief walkthroughs aligned with each section of the Progress Report. You can find these walkthrough recordings by using the “Step-by-Step Tutorial” quick filter.

Submit Any New Core Measures Data


DFC coalitions are required to report new core measures data once every two years, and they can be submitted at any time. To have your core measures data included in the 2025 DFC National Cross-Site Evaluation, you must submit your data by September 12. Once your core measures survey is submitted and approved in DFC & CARA Me, you can enter and submit data by clicking on the Reporting tab at the top of the screen, then selecting Core Measures and clicking the "Submit New Core Measures" button.


Update Key Personnel & Contact Information


Please check your coalition information, including key personnel names, email addresses, and phone numbers in both DFC & CARA Me and in GrantSolutions GMM. You can check your Key Personnel in DFC & CARA Me by clicking your coalition name on the dashboard (right next to “Welcome”). If the information does not match in the two systems or if any information is no longer accurate, please notify your Project Officer to seek approval for updates/corrections. Accurate, updated information supports ONDCP, CDC, and our team in reaching out to your coalition.
