Neighborhood Ride Service By Taxis

The Department of For-Hire Vehicles (DFHV) conducted a study of underserved areas by taxis and private hire vehicles. To address the need for better transportation options, DFHV awarded grants to create a Neighborhood Ride Service By Taxis (NRS) to run along a designated course for a fixed price. The NRS will begin as a pilot program in Wards 4, 7 and 8. So, take a look at the proposed NRS routes and provide your feedback or offer a suggestion. The intent is to give the residents of the District of Columbia more choices to fulfill their transportation needs and ensure excellent customer experiences for riders of for-hire vehicles.  We want to hear from you...make your voice heard.
