Informational Updates

Launch of FY2026-27 Q1 Forecast Coming Soon

As mentioned in the budget decision letters and the recent DFL meeting, we will be moving towards quarterly forecasts, with the Q1 forecast launching in mid-October. This is an important exercise that will allow you to reassess and enhance financial projections for the year and evaluate how closely they align with the goals established in your original budget. The Q1 forecast will enable us to assess progress toward your FY2026-27 EGM target. As a result, all campus divisions are expected to review and update their forecast. Templates and detailed instructions will be provided in the coming weeks.

DFL peer-to-peer channels

DFL peer-to-peer channels offer timely updates, access to colleagues' knowledge, and opportunities to ask questions, share ideas, and collaborate on relevant topics across campus, helping to stay connected and exchange information.

  • DFL Slack Channel: A space for quick questions, information discussions, updates, and day-to-day connections.
  • DFL Google Group: A structured forum for DFLs to share announcements, updates, and questions. Hosted on a bConnected Google Group, it offers a space to exchange files and documents.

The Slack channel and Google Group are segmented by topic area and include a select group of colleagues to keep conversations focused and relevant. Participation is limited to employees who formally serve as DFLs. To join or request access, email Heidi Van Yang at hvanyang@berkeley.edu.
