Pugs Need Your Help
DFW Pug Rescue Club is happy to report that we are working busily taking in pug after pug after pug! It’s what we do! Our intake is way up right now with over 42 pugs coming into care in the last 46 days alone. With high intake comes complicated and expensive cases.
Babs
Take Babs! She came in from a local animal shelter. There was nothing unusual noted from the shelter, but our vets found her in very unusual condition. She had a bladder stone the size of a plum blocking her! The vet at once performed emergency surgery to remove that stone and several smaller stones. She is recuperating nicely. She will be on special, prescription food for the rest of her life. Her vet bill currently stands at $2,500.00

Scrappy
Then there is Scrappy! He tested positive at the shelter for Parvo! He currently is fighting for his life! Our vets have diagnosed him with hemorrhagic gastroenteritis which is treated much like Parvo. He is not eating and drinking and needs all your prayers. His vet bill currently stands at $7,000.00!
Odin
Next, there is Odin. He was a stray found in Dallas. He is high heartworm positive and has severe dental disease. He will undergo heartworm treatment, boarding for crate rest, then to a foster home for relaxation and more rest. When he has recovered from the heartworm treatment, then he will have a dental. We expect his medical expenses to run approximately $2,100.00!
Larry, Moe, Curly Sue
Of course, you have seen the pictures of Larry, Moe, and Curly Sue. The three cutest puppies ever! They all have ring worm and will need full vetting along with spaying and neutering. Larry has a severe corneal ulcer and will need eye flap surgery to treat his eye. News flash! Curly Sue & Moe haves tested positive for parvo! They need prayers and medical support. Larry is not symptomatic but will receive prophylactic medical support. We expect their vet expenses to run $3,000.00 plus!
So, if you are so inclined, we would love to have donations for these medically needy pugs. Any amount will help! We appreciate all our volunteers and supporters! Thank you!

We depend on the generosity of pug lovers to help DFW Pug Rescue Club continue to rescue ALL pugs regardless of age or medical condition.
