Mental Health First Aid
Foundation receives funding
The DFWHC Foundation has announced it was chosen to receive a Community Mental Health Grant from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission to provide Mental Health First Aid training to 12 rural counties in North Texas.
The official agenda has been released to the Foundation's Second Annual IQSC Data Summit on November 6 at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. There will be 11 speakers, six sessions and more than 15 hospital abstracts.
The Foundation and CMS co-hosted the October 1 educational event "Ligature Risk Standards," with more than 120 attendees from across across North Texas participating. The class detailed best practices in the workplace.
The Foundation worked with the Coppell Fire Department to provide training on Sepsis awareness during a North Texas Trauma Regional Advisory Council annual meeting on Sept. 20 at the Arlington Convention Center.
