Students will begin to understand how bucking traditional form can unlock their imagination and help them embrace the messiness of their first draft as something to cherish.

Instructor: Joanie Drago REGISTER Is it possible to combine the art of mockery with a thoughtful, up-to-date consideration of human worth? How can we use satire to attack hypocritical leaders and dismantle oppressive power structures, while striving to unify diverse, contemporary audiences through laughter?

Instructor: Caleen Sinnette Jennings REGISTER This online course examines how playwrights use the family, our very first model of interaction, to structure their plays.  Readings have been selected to reflect a variety of cultures, and to explore issues of gender, class, race/ethnicity, and social justice.

Instructor: Georgia Stitt REGISTER This new online course is designed for composers and songwriters who are interested in becoming better musical dramatists. The sessions will address issues of musical craft, dramaturgy, and collaboration.

Instructor: TJ Parker-Young REGISTER In this 6-week, online course, we are going to identify how writing for the internet differs from writing in other mediums. You will develop scripts and show bibles for your show, and workshop your ideas to help you create a starting point for your own web series.
