In July, the Department of Health and Environment is launching a series of essential VIBE training workshops for all staff that will be led by the county’s Talent and Diversity Specialist, Kendra Neal Wright.
In 2022, DHE staff were asked what trainings that they would like to have, and the top five choices were: leadership skills, understanding cultural responsiveness, advancing racial and social justice, understanding the role of racism as a social determinant of health, and health equity and justice 101.
These VIBE workshops will help us in building these competencies, as they will focus on foundational knowledge that we can use to guide DHE’s ongoing work.
