Equity & Belonging in Hospital Medicine

A "pearl" in promoting Equity and Belonging is a short, action-oriented, topic that aims to raise awareness, increase concern, and share strategies to mitigate our institutional inequities and promote inclusion.

In promoting antiracism in our institution and increasing the sense of belonging for all of our colleagues, let us begin 2024 in collective action towards justice. We will not excuse racism or oppression, together we will defend all our colleagues. Oppressive ideologies are fueled by violent rhetoric and censorship as ways control the narrative to dehumanize the Other. Click here to learn more.

Eric Ng

"Thank you, Eric Ng, for coordinating the SF Zoo event. Despite the unexpected rain, it felt like we had the zoo to ourselves! Thanks for braving the rain outside to distribute the tickets for our group. You're the best!"

Connie Li

"Thank you, Connie Li, for your awesome work on Goldman! I had been on for 12 days (2 days on jeopardy + 10 days on GMS4) and leaned on her. She's responsive, great at communicating and closing the loop on action items, and reliable. I could give her small and larger tasks and trust she would do her best and let me know if something wasn't possible (and mentally let go of keeping it on my plate to follow up).

What a huge help during a long and busy stretch over the holidays!"
