Tomorrow Night! DHMS Dines Out: Rocklands BBQ -Tuesday, November 28th
We are excited to partner with Rocklands BBQ to support Dorothy Hamm Middle School. Come to Rocklands at 3471 Washington Blvd. anytime between 5:00-9:30pm to order pick up or delivery. Exploring the Possibilities for our Futures
Wednesday, December 6th (Early Release)
DHMS Students will participate in career and futures exploration activities. Sixth Grade will explore their strengths and personal talents - and possible future careers; Seventh Grade will explore their Occupational Outlooks and financial future; and Eighth Grade will learn about future career paths from people in a variety of careers!
If you (any grade level parent) are interested in sharing your career and career path (how did you get where you are), on December 6 from 8:30-11:30 please let us know here.

7th/8th Grade Winter Wonderland Dance
Friday, December 1st, 6:30-8:30pm
Tickets will be sold at lunch that week. Students must have a signed permission slip to purchase a ticket. Parents will be asked to help chaperone! Stay tuned for the opportunity to sign up.

Volunteers Needed! DHMS Book Fair
Friday, December 8th-Friday Morning, December15th
The Book Fair is coming to Dorothy Hamm in less than two weeks, and we need your help! The Book Fair will run during the school day beginning Friday, December 8th through the morning of Friday, December 15th in ROOM 340 (not the library). There will be one evening event for families on Thursday, December 14th from 6-8 pm. We have many opportunities for parents to help during the week of the book fair. Please click below to sign up:

DHMS 8th Grade We Are Writers Event
Thursday, December 14th 6:30-8:00pm
Our eighth graders have been writing away this fall! We will hold our We Are Writers celebration on Thursday, December 14th from 6:30-8:00pm. We hope you can join us for this short evening of celebration. Stay tuned for more details, including the timeslots when students will be presenting.

Donate Your Plastic Film Waste & Help DHMS Win a Trex Bench
Holiday season is here, and that means you're probably getting lots of shipping envelopes from online retailers! That's great news because the DHMS Green Team is setting our sights on winning a super cool Trex bench for our school if we can collect 1000 pounds of plastic recycling material. Bring in your CLEAN, DRY plastic film waste like newspaper sleeves, plastic grocery bags, bubble wrap and all of those empty shipping envelopes. Just drop it in the plastic bins in the hallway near the front office and we'll do the rest. Please make sure all of the plastic is CLEAN, DRY and FREE of FOOD RESIDUE.
