Division of Human Resources Required Annual Training:

Respectful Workplace and Cybersecurity Training

It’s that time of year again, for employees to complete required annual trainings. As required by the State of Idaho Division of Human Resources (DHR) and State of Idaho Information Technology Services (State ITS), ISU faculty and staff are joining all other state employees in completing annual training for both Respectful Workplace, and Cybersecurity

The goal of these training requirements is to promote a safe and respectful work environment for state employees, and help us collectively defend our state networks from cybercrime.

Completion of these trainings is required for benefit-eligible faculty and staff to be eligible for FY26 change in employee compensation (CEC) pay increases, should they be approved by the legislature.

Both of these required trainings are available in ISU’s Talent Management System (TMS), and they can be completed at your own convenience. The training requirements that need to be completed in TMS are:

  • 2025 Respectful Workplace Training Completion Acknowledgement (11 minutes)
  • 2025 Cybersecurity Training (35 minutes)

The due date for completion of these training requirements for timely processing of CEC is May 9, 2025.

Directions for Accessing Your Required Training Modules in TMS:

Google Chrome is the preferred browser to use. Historically, Internet Explorer and Firefox experience more issues launching the training. To complete the two required trainings, please follow the steps outlined below:

  • Log in to MyISU, and search for the “Talent Management System” card
  • On the Talent Management System card, click on “Access Talent Management System”
  • In the left hand corner, under “Your Action Items,” look for the two following links:
  • 2025 Respectful Workplace Training Completion Acknowledgement
  • 2025 Cybersecurity Training
  • When you find the assigned training modules noted above, click on each training link to launch and complete the content and required acknowledgement form for each training module.
  • Once you have submitted your acknowledgement form for each training, the system will mark your required training as completed, and you will receive an email verification of completion for your records.

Alternate Directions if Training is Not Listed on “Your Action Items” in TMS:

After logging into TMS, if you do not see the two training requirements listed on “Your Action Items” dashboard, please follow these steps:

  • Click on the “Your Action Items” hyperlink. The system will then take you to an expanded view of your action items list. Scroll down the page and look for the training module titles listed above. If you see them, click each one to complete the training as outlined above.
  • If, after expanding “Your Action Items” you still don’t see the training modules:
  • Click on “Learning” (orange section at the top), and Learner Home will show below
  • Click “Learner Home.” It will say Hi (your name)! What would you like to learn today? In the search bar, type in each of the training module titles one at a time:
  • 2025 Respectful Workplace Training Completion Acknowledgement
  • 2025 Cybersecurity Training
  • When you have located each training, click the link and complete the training as outlined above.

Use this chart if you have questions about whether you are required to complete these trainings.
