The message to all our communities is that everyone should be able to worship in peace.
Courtney La Bau, Brian Keith with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and Inglewood Police Department provided active shooter training at Inglewood Grand Mosque. Brian Keith with DHS presented data with previous tragedies including Columbine High School massacre. Javed Bava President Inglewood Mosque emphasized that this training will make all houses of worship safe and safety is a concern as to hate crimes taking place across United States. Hands on experience was provided to the attendees of this seminar.
Program was attended by FBI, COPAA board members, COPAA advisors members, local mosques and students from the community mosques were in attendance.
It was very encouraging to see so many children participated in the program.
This active shooter training provided by Department of Homeland Security (DHS) at the Inglewood Grand Mosque can also be arranged for all mosques and houses of worship with the tools to prepare muslim community members training in the event of an active shooter situation.
