Church Farm School Holds 93rd Christmas Pageant on December 8 and 10. The dramatic pantomime is based on the classic children's story, "Why the Chimes Rang."

In 1924, Church Farm School founder and headmaster The Rev. Dr. Charles Wesley Shreiner adapted the popular play, "Why the Chimes Rang," into a dramatic pantomime acted by students and accompanied by organ and choral music, and a CFS tradition was born. "Why the Chimes Rang" has been performed every year since.

Friday, December 8 at 8:00 p.m. (limited seating). Sunday, December 10 at 3:00 p.m. RSVP: www.gocfs.net/pageant . We hope you will join us for the 93rd production of the Church Farm School Pageant, which is appropriate for and enjoyed by all ages, and is always a wonderful start to the Christmas season.

Enjoying the Holidays in Spite of the Hype! at Christ Church Ithan - Ithan Hall, 536 Conestoga Rd., Villanova, PA, on Monday, December 11 at 7:00 p.m. Anxiety and stress levels often skyrocket during the busy holiday season. In addition to the many items on our "to-do" lists - baking, sending cards, decorating, shopping, and entertaining, and, and, and... - the cultural hype of "the happiest time of the year" creates unrealistic expectations and can easily overwhelm us, leaving us exhausted and waiting for it all to just be over.

Please join us as we explore the dynamics and physical impact of this challenging holiday spiral, and learn realistic strategies to ease the stress and bring balance to this time of year. A panel of community professionals will discuss mental and physical health and wellness, and offer useful strategies that will help us better enjoy this wonderful time of the year in spite of the hype!

Spiritual Direction Offering. What is "spiritual direction"? Most basically, it is sitting down with a trusted Christian person in a confidential setting and discussing one's prayer life, what is happening in one's Christian pilgrimage, and how God may be acting and making Godself known in one's life.

It can take place once a month or once every few months, even on an irregular basis. This is not about interminable psychotherapy, but rather relatively infrequent meetings, which can enable real spiritual friendship to develop over a period of time. If you think you might be interested in exploring spiritual direction, you may talk with or contact Rev. Jill McNish at 973-819-5191. As well as having a PhD in Psychology and Religion from Union Seminary, she received training in spiritual direction at the Center for Christian Spirituality at General Seminary.

Children, Youth, and Families Ministry Coordinator - Saint Paul's Church, Chestnut Hill , Philadelphia, PA .

The CYF (Children, Youth, and Families) Ministry Coordinator is a full-time, established position with benefits (insurance, and pension in year 2), and an efficiency apartment on campus if desired.

Full-time staff include the Rector, Administrator, Music Director, and Capital Campaign Facilitator.

At Saint Paul's we believe that children have an innate sense of the presence of God. Godly Play is a Montessori approach to faith stories, gaining for participants religious language, and enhancing their spiritual experiences through wonder and play (which is children's work).

Youth engage in a lifelong journey of questioning, exploring, and discovering together. Confirmation, Rite 13, service to others, and fellowship all offer an arena to find support and grace in their encounter with each other and God.

The CYF Ministry Coordinator is accountable to the Rector, manages budget responsibilities, and works collegially with other staff, volunteers, teachers, youth group advisors, and parents.  Email all documents to:  ccutler@stpaulschestnuthill.org Website: www.stpaulschestnuthill.org .
