The State of Texas is joining with the Department of Homeland Security and its partners during the month of October to highlight the importance of cybersecurity and online safety.
DIR and its Office of the Chief Information Security Officer have a whole month of events, hosted by us at DIR as well as our partner agencies.
The Annual DIR Technology Forum was held October 9 in Austin and if you were unable to attend the conference, DIR has received permission from speakers to host presentation materials presented during their session.
Presentations that have been received will be made available at our Event Materials page. This page is a dedicated resource for individuals and organizations interested in browsing available materials from past DIR events and conferences, including DIR Technology Forum 2018.
Event presentations are owned by the author and are at times stored on external websites and DIR can't always guarantee the accessibility of externally hosted content.

IR, along with the Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC), wants you to be aware that October is Texas Archives Month!
There are numerous free and low-cost learning opportunities available for agency staff interested in increasing their records management and information technology knowledge.
Archives Month in Texas aims to celebrate the value of Texas' historical records, publicize the many ways these records enrich our lives, recognize those who maintain our communities' historical records and to increase public awareness of the importance of preserving historical treasures and making them available for use by present and future generations.
