We are pleased to be partnering with Dresden International School (Germany) to find their next Director.
The School
Dresden International School (DIS) provides childcare and an international education from one-year-olds up to Grade 12.
DIS was established in 1996 to further economic development and international investment in the Dresden region and to contribute to intercultural understanding in Saxony. The school has become a vital element of this region's cultural and economic life.
The school has grown from thirteen children in 1996 to 500, representing 50 different nationalities. It is important to us that our students quickly feel part of the school so that they are happy, safe, and cared for in a challenging learning environment.

Position Overview
Qualifications and Experience:
- Leadership experience in an IB School, preferably in Europe.
- Exceptionally skillful communicator, transparent and authentic.
- Familiarity with a range of accreditation protocols.
- Ably leads best practices in current pedagogy by further developing cohesion and continuity in IB programs.
- Established ‘Learning Leader’ Experience in managing change/conflict.
- Strategic thinker and highly organized.
- Head of School experience preferred, but open to other relevant leadership experience in schools.
- Seeks to understand and embrace the ‘German Context’ (DIS is as much a local school as it is international).
- Experience with all levels (EC-12). Faculty recruitment, retention, and development experience.
