Kevin ("Man") Flythe was released from a federal prison in West Virginia on January 27, 2022 after 27 years. He was dropped off at a bus station in West Virginia with stops in various states before his scheduled arrival at Union Station in Washington, DC. Kevin never arrived. As of today's date, Kevin has been missing 48 days!
Kevin was released under IRA (Incarceration Redaction Act). He had a stroke at the end of August 2021. His treatment was "appalling" (word used by Atty Madill), no therapy provided and was not seen by a cardiologist. The stroke caused Kevin's speech to worsen, almost to yes or no responses, along with limited mobility.
Atty Madill and Michelle Royster, Kevin's cousin, tried weeks in advance of Kevin's release to arrange for them to pick him up. Numerous calls and emails were ignored. West Virginia is only 273 miles from Washington, DC. In frustration, the Bureau of Prisons was contacted and the family received a response within 10 minutes, but what was even more frustrating is they were told Kevin had been released!
Kevin was released with no money and no medication. He was wearing black pants, brown shirt and a "Santa Claus" white sack. Kevin is a 52 year-old Black male, 5'7", 195 lbs.
