The DISCA CARES Program provides financial support to Contractor members of our association in times of financial crisis. DISCA CARES (Caring Action Relief (in) Emergency Situations) is a financial assistance program to help the employees and families of DISCA Contractor member companies who have experienced a major illness, accident or hardship beyond their insurance and financial capabilities.

The Drywall Interior Systems Contractors Association, Inc. of New Jersey (DISCA) has a Scholarship Program for the children or grandchildren of management employees of companies contributing to the DISCA Industry Promotion Fund (IPF). The scholarships are to help defer the cost of college and other educational expenses for a two or four-year education at an accredited college or an accredited vocational school.

2023 Outlook on the Construction Industry and Liability Insurance


The U.S. construction industry is on a post-pandemic rally, with the sector spending $1.7 trillion in October 2022–that’s 9.2% better than October 2021. Furthermore, the entire insurance liability market is expanding significantly, projected to grow from $252.3 billion in 2021 to an estimated $432.8 billion in 2028, according to Allied Market Research.


With more government money and more building projects in play going into 2023, one area where the construction industry is finding firm footing is with liability insurance, albeit with some major risks in play.

Watch Time-lapse Video of New Jersey's Largest Design Build


EarthCam Technologies has presented a time-lapse video of construction at the Newark Liberty International Airport's Terminal A. The $2.7 billion project, which began in 2018, is complete. The terminal will reopen for flights on Jan. 12, according to the Port Authority. The completed project is 1 million square feet with 33 gates. The project is the largest design-build in New Jersey history, according to the airport.

On March 30, 2023, in Atlantic City, NJ, The Construction Showcase will feature over 50 of the best-trained 4th year union carpenter apprentices in a live competition of hands-on trade and technical career skills during a day-long challenge at the Atlantic City Convention Center. Attendees will feel the excitement as competitors work against the clock and each other, in contests to test their knowledge, skills, and endurance. The Construction Skills Showcase is hosted by the EASRCC, Carpenters Contractor Trust, and the EAS Training Funds.
