Consider Candidacy:
Deadline July 29 at 4 p.m.
Local school board membership is a challenging and rewarding way to serve your community and its schoolchildren. Now is the time to consider school board candidacy for the Livingston Board of Education. In November, voters will elect two candidates to serve for three years.

A candidate must file a nominating petition with the county clerk for his or her name to appear on the ballot during the annual school election. The deadline to submit the petition is 4 p.m. on Monday, July 29, 2019. The election is scheduled for Tuesday, November 5, 2019.

Prospective school board candidates can download candidate information from the New Jersey School Boards Association’s website at NJSBA School Board Candidate Kit . The kit includes information about nominating petitions, legal qualifications for school board candidacy, and the role of the school board member. Information about the New Jersey School Ethics Act and important dates in the school election process are also included.

Genesis Portals Information
The Genesis Parent/Student Access portals are now closed as we prepare for the 2019-2020 school year. It is anticipated that the portals will re-open during the week of August 5, 2019 in order for parents, and students in Grades 6-12, to complete all district-required forms. Only the Contacts and Forms Library will be available during this time. An email will be sent to parents/students with their log on information.

The Genesis Parent/Student Portals will open on Wednesday, August 21, 2019 after 3:00 p.m. to view secondary schedules and on Thursday, August 22, 2019 after 3:00 p.m. for elementary homeroom/teacher assignments. No schedules or teacher assignments will be viewable unless all required forms are completed.
