Try DIY Longarming!
"DIY Longarming" is the service aat Forever In Stitches where you bring your top and we supply the batting and backing, and you run the longarm. It is a less expensive way to longarm any yet get excellent results, as you are under the supervision of Master Quilter Ruth. In addition you get to take credit for making the entire quilt, which is important in some competitions and, is very satisfying..

We started this service when we moved to Indiana. Since then it has really taken off!

´╗┐Most often "longarm renting" is for a free-motion longarm. In this case the ability to place the design depends upon your flexability, creativity, and artistic talent.

We named our service "DIY" because our longarm is automated. The artistic talent is focused on design selection and placement, along with the selection of the thread color [of which we have over 70].

The rest is On The Job Training, with Ruth leading you through setting up and running the longarm. Most "DIYers" are repeat customers. One has quilted over a dozen quilts and several other quilters are close behind.
Shown here, with her quilt on the machine behind her, is Ryna A. She has her own Innova at home. Her Innova is a 10' frame, a 18" throat and is free-motion. Our Innova has a 14' frame and a 26" throat and is automated.

The quilt she needed to do was a about 108" by 90", which could not fit on her machine. In addition, since she uses pantographs on her machine, the time required to complete the quilt would have been excessive.

In the end, it took 5 hours for her to complete the quilt. At $25 per hour, that came out to $125, which is a very good price for a king. As it turned out, she also was able to take advantage of our May special of 15% discount, in addition to the $125!

She was very happy with her results, as were we!
