Last Friday, the Supreme Court in the United States overturned Roe v. Wade, the ruling from 1973 that established the constitutional right to abortion. As a result, nearly half the states in the USA will outlaw or severely restrict access to abortion.
DKT International has its roots in the USA and for us, this is an especially infuriating decision. We believe that every person has a right to determine their reproductive destiny and that no government should infringe on that right. The Supreme Court decision flies in the face of popular opinion and human rights --- and we strongly condemn it.
We will continue to do everything we can in the USA and globally to ensure that women and men are able to access the information and care they choose to determine when, how, and if they wish to have children. As one of the world's largest providers of safe and post abortion products, services, technology, and information in the world, we take this responsibility extremely seriously.

We also partner with Women First Digital, an online and digital platform that provides information and counseling about abortion and the abortion pills. This year, we expect more than 5 million visitors will visit their websites, safe2choose and howtouseabortionpill. They provide information in more than 25 languages.
Globally, we market the abortion pills (mifepristone and misoprostol) as well as the Manual Vacuum Aspiration (MVA) technology which is used for in-clinic surgical abortion care in more than 100 countries. In 2021, we sold more than 5 million mifepristone pills, 45 million misoprostol pills, and 215,000 MVA kits worldwide.
The Supreme Court decision is wrong and a setback for reproductive rights. But this only strengthens our resolve to continue the important work that we do each day. The women and men that we serve deserve nothing less.
