Message from the Principal

Our transition back to in-person instruction 5 days a week for Sections 1 and 2 students has gone very well. We were so excited to welcome them back and have a more “normal” school day. We appreciate everyone’s support to make sure our students are wearing masks while in school and screening them at home for any symptoms.

With spring around the corner, we are in the final countdown!!! We have only 5 more weeks until our 3rd-8th grade students take the Ohio state tests in April. Teachers have intentionally planned instruction to teach the major content standards by April and are incorporating test practice in class assignments and homework. Additionally, we have only 3 months to prepare all students for the next grade level.

To ensure your child is ready for the upcoming state test and will be promoted to the next grade level, here are steps you can take every day:

  • Make sure your child attends school on time every day
  • Remind your child of the value of education and that their job is to do well in school
  • Encourage your child to focus and work hard in class
  • Make sure your child completes homework and reads for 20 minutes every night.

Mark your calendars for 3rd quarter conferences occurring between March 15-26. You will receive your child’s report card, test strategies to practice, and targeted skills and homework to complete over spring break.
Sincerely,

Mrs. Asinjo, Principal
