Intern Architect

DMA is hiring! We are looking for an internWe Are Hiring architect with 0 to 3 years professional experience,  interested in quality of design with a sustainable focus, to join our energetic firm. Quality of design and detailing is essential, but we are willing to teach if you have a passion for learning. The job posting is here

Bog Pond

We love it when clients send us photos of their homes. A nice wintery shot of Bog Pond Cottage from the iced-over pond shows a glass-faced, warm and cozy cottage with views towards the water. Construction is not quite done, but the owners are enjoying their new cottage.
Home Show

DMA will again be showcasing our portfolio at the  Maine Home & Remodeling Show  at the Cross Insurance Arena in Portland on Saturday February 15 (10 am to 5 pm) and Sunday February 16 (10 am to 4 pm). It's a great way to celebrate Valentine's weekend with your date getting a head start on your remodeling and design ideas. Contact  Cathy  for free tickets while supplies last.
Otter Way

The exterior envelope has been sealed and the windows and doors have been installed at Otter Way. The initial blower door test came in at an impressive .43 ACH50, which is better than our specification. Very excited about the future performance of this house. Construction by Corey Rattleff.
Stone Barn

The Stone Barn is quite literally growing out of the rocks. The gray palette of stone and wood contrasts nicely with the brown and rust granite, while the simplicity of the modern barn architecture creates a wonderful roadside architecture along a narrow village road. Construction by Chartier Building and Remodeling.
Oxford Hills Tech Challenge

David was invited by the architecture teacher at Oxford Hills High school, his alma mater, to be a guest critic at Tech Challenge 2020 earlier this month. This program has over 50 kids enrolled, just astounding compared to when David attended all the drafting courses offered at the school while preparing for Roger Williams University. The work and presentations were very impressive, and reminded David of work during his second year in college.

Views from the Job Site

Construction is rolling along at the Georgetown Cape. The screen porch, which was the last major massing element, has been framed out and the roof has been completed. Mechanical and electrical rough-in is on-going, and the exterior is being sided. Construction by Chartier Building and Remodeling.
