Carla Roemer
Carla is an art educator who brings a diverse background and international perspective to her role. She received her B.F.A degree from Parsons School of Design in New York City and Paris, studied art history at the University of Heidelberg in Germany and then went on to work as a producer for the design company Frog Design in Dusseldorf, Germany. Since moving to San Diego in 2007 Carla has worked with ICA San Diego, developing and implementing innovative approaches to integrate art and education. She also developed the art program for the local North County School District from conception to training parent docents. Carla is also a lecturer at UCSD Extension, where she has conceived and taught the classes "Contemporary Art 101" and ”Art Now."
