  Hello
Dowell Families

Dowell Families -

Every morning when I get up I am so excited to come to work!  It is such a pleasure to work with your students every day and see them grow in all that they do.  I am truly blessed with the best parents, staff and students in MISD. Thank you for trusting us every day with your most precious gift.

I wish all of you a very Happy Holiday and hope you enjoy your time with family and friends.  I am looking forward to a great 2018 and we will see you all on January 9, 2018!

Sincerely,
Holly Rogers
Principal, Dowell Middle School

Drop-Off/Pick-Up Procedures

The back parking lot is for MISD buses only from 8:00-8:30 am.
-Doors for the school open at 8:15 a.m.
-Students not riding buses should be dropped off in the front of the building.
-There are 2 entry lanes at the front of the school next to each other. The right lane is for the drop-off/pick-up of students only. The left lane is for vehicles going to the south parking lot or exiting onto Ridge Road.
-For the safety of our students we ask that you never cut into the right lane from the left lane and that you never unload students from the left lane.
-After 8:30 am, parents are welcome to drop students off in the back.
-The procedure will be the same after school with 2 lanes.
- At dismissal we ask that no cars enter the back parking lot until buses have left.
- Vehicles exiting from the front or back of the building will be directed to turn right only on to Ridge Road.
-Please be careful and watch for students walking in front of your car.
-As it gets closer to 8:45 am the traffic increases, so please try to arrive earlier for more convenience and a shorter wait.
-If you arrive before 8:15 am w/your student and wait in the car line please pull all the way up or into the parking lot so that those parents who are just dropping off before 8:15 am can safely drop off their students!

Please be courteous  and help us keep our Dowell community safe!
