There are two items we want to bring to your attention:

DMV hosting meetings to discuss decarbonization issue

The DMV invites counties to attend an impact analysis overview regarding the improper application of HB23-1272 Specific Ownership Tax discounts for Class B vehicles. In this meeting we will review a timeline of the error, steps to resolve, talking points, constituent correspondence, and how to interpret your county’s impact analysis.

Warning about possible malware on Air Care Colorado website

The Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has been alerted that the Air Care Colorado (ACC) website may have been compromised. ACC worked to address the issue and implemented security-enhanced updates on its website. However, as a precaution, the ACC website remains down while they work to ensure its security.

The Division encourages counties that use ACC’s services to ask their county IT team to evaluate any possible network risk and take the necessary precautionary steps. This may include your IT team scanning any linked information to the ACC’s web content. We continue to work with Air Care Colorado and will communicate any updates as we have them.
