AAMVA’s Social Security Number Online Verification (SSOLV) system is currently unavailable. 

All state and county driver license offices are currently unable to issue driver licenses, instruction permits and identification cards (ID). Online driver license and ID card services are also unavailable. 

In-office and online services currently available include knowledge tests for instruction permits, endorsements and commercial driver’s license permits, motor vehicle records and requests for a hearing. 

AAMVA is investigating the issue and is working toward a resolution. The AAMVA Operations Helpdesk will continue to monitor progress.

The DMV will send updates as we know more about the status of SSOLV.
