What were we up to last month?

November 2025

DNO Associates Assemble Holiday Meal Boxes

DNO Associates came together this week to assemble Thanksgiving meal boxes filled with everything needed for a holiday feast—including a turkey, fresh vegetables, and a handwritten note of appreciation from company President, Alex DiNovo. Each box was thoughtfully packed as a gesture of gratitude for our FRESHEALTH associates, whose hard work and dedication make a meaningful impact year-round. This effort reflects our commitment to caring for our team and celebrating the people who help bring fresh, nutritious produce to communities every day.

DNO Collaborates with Community for 2025 Fresh-Cut Food Drive

Every year, we partner with Central Ohio's WCBE 90.5 FM station and the Columbus Parks and Recreation Department to bring a "Fresh-Cut Food Drive" to the community.

During the month of December, for every donation pledged to WCBE, we will donate 3 lb. of fresh produce. It will then be distributed at no cost through Columbus Parks and Recreation to neighbors who can put the donations to good use.

November's Brocc Star!

Juan is DNO's newest Washer! He plays a pivotal role in the everyday operations of our FRESHEALTH facility, making sure all of our machines are up to our strict sanitation protocols, often assembling and re-assembling machines between each shift. He works closely with our Quality Assurance team and is one of our first lines-of-defense for identifying potential issues. Juan's strict attention to detail keeps the team efficient and our produce top-quality!

Connecting with School Nutrition Professionals Across the Midwest

Kevin, our Education Sales Manager, had a wonderful time connecting with school nutrition professionals at the Indiana School Nutrition Association's Annual Conference and the New York School Nutrition Association's Annual Conference.

Also in November, Shannon, our SnackTime Explorers Specialist, and Aly, our Marketing Coordinator, enjoyed meeting passionate school nutrition professionals at the School Nutrition Association of Michigan's Annual Show.

Across all three events, our team shared our fresh-cut high-quality fruits and vegetables in our FFVP-friendly portions. Our free resources, like our Produce Posters, FFVP calendars, and monthly newsletters, were also on display to show how DNO Produce and FRESHEALTH make serving fresh produce easy! It was a joy receiving such positive feedback from professionals who find real value in our services every day.

If you’re not already receiving resources like our premade calendars or Produce Posters, be sure to sign up for our FFVP newsletter to stay connected!

This Month's Fresh Read

Alex DiNovo, President of DNO Produce, explains why programs like FFVP are important for children's long-term eating habits in his piece, "What We Eat is a Reflection of What We Value."

Alex draws upon "Food Intelligence," by Julia Belluz and Kevin Hall to explore just how important it is to make fresh produce a part of children's everyday environments, and how the cost of neglecting food education is steep.
