Did you know that organizing is not about aesthetics? Being organized is good for your health in more ways than one.  If you have been following me, you know that I believe a home is organized when the person has what they need, use, and love.

It doesn’t matter as much to make all the containers match or that everything looks perfect. It matters more to me that the person can find what they need and use and that they are comfortable and happy in their home.

The benefit of organizing your home so that you have what you need, use, and love is that organizing reduces the anxiety and stress which comes from not knowing how to find something you need quickly and believe that you have somewhere.

Organizing your home also promotes better sleep. Why? Because your mind isn’t distracted by the clutter tossed on the chair in your bedroom, the pile of things on your chest of drawers, or the stack of books and magazines on your bedside table.

You may have noticed that these are health related benefits which come from organizing your home.

There are many health benefits which come from being organized. If you want to learn more about this topic, please join me and my colleague, Jonda Beattie, for a free 30-minute virtual class on Friday, September 6th at noon ET. Register here.

Jonda and I also run a weekly virtual organizing session. It is unique because we let you determine how the time is used. You can decide to spend the time working on a project like paper management and ask us questions while you work or maybe you’d prefer to spend the time talking through a project you have in mind, but don’t know where to begin.

These sessions are limited to 4 people at a time so that everyone gets individualized attention.

Are you curious? You can read more about it here and register for one or more sessions, too!

Use the Organize Your Home 10 Minutes at a Time deck of cards and do 1 10-minute task each day. This will keep things tidy around your home and get you outside more often.
